In 1928 the Assemblies of God church in South Normanton, run by Pastor Oldershaw, began an outreach, holding meetings in the Brinsley, Bagthorpe and Selston area. These proved popular, resulting in the founding of our church, which first met in the Elite Hall over a shop opposite the old cinema. In 1931 they built a church on the current Franklin Road site, called the Full Gospel Hall, as Jacksdale was a central location. The current building was opened on Saturday 31st May 1975.
The church has a long tradition of involvement in the local community, which continues today. All are welcome, please check our website for times of meetings and special events.
