William Gilder was born at Warrington, Northants.  He lived on Poplar Terrace, Selston, enlisting at Mansfield, Notts.

We have no further information about his serviceman.

The Cemetery where William Gilder is buried was not established until after the Armistice and takes its name from the dressing station at the same place.  There are now nearly 2,000 1914-18 war casualties commemorated in this cemetery.
