William Heath Dunn was born in 1896, the son of Henry William Dunn of Skegness Corner, Selston. His father Henry was born in 1852 and by 1901 was a widower.  William had a sister named Ethel b. 1884 and three brothers, John G. b. 1881, Joseph b. 1893 and Charles Thomas b. 1894.
