Son of:  James & Hannah Devenport, husband of Alice Devenport of 44, Holbrook Street, Heanor, Derbyshire. Native of Langley Mill, Nottingham.

1901 Census - James W. and Hannah Devenport were living at Breach Road, Heanor with children George (10), John (8), Alice (7) and Lilly(2).  James W. originated from Belper, Derbyshire and was employed as a Pottery Clerk.
