Herman Crawford appears on the 'Absent Voters List 1918/19' and is shown as living on Dixie Street.

We have not found a ship called H.M.S. Misteur, so this may have been a land base.

There is also a L. H. Crawford listed on the War Memorial as having served and he may have been a relative.
