William Banks Cade (known as Banks) lived at 22 Albert Avenue and was the son of Robert and Agnes Cade. He had brothers Harold, Tom, George and Edward and a sister called Annie (m. Stuart).

The 1901 census shows the family living at New Westwood with his father's age given as 33 and his mother's as 31. William was aged 9, sister Annie was 7, Edward aged 4 and Elsie aged just two months.

William married Sarah and they had four children called Barry, Eric, Tony and Lizzie.
