The 1901 census shows the Bromley family lived on Sedgwick Street, Jacksdale. John was the father aged 53 and his mother was Mary aged 52. Herbert had brothers William aged 22, Harold aged 12 and Herbert was then 18. He also had one sister called Bertha aged 19.

We believe the family moved to Bagthorpe, Notts at some later stage.
