John Thomas Barker |
386677 Private John Thomas Barker
Army Service Corps, Remounts

John Thomas Barker is shown on the 'Absent Voters List 1918/19' as living on
Sedgwick Street, Jacksdale.
He was married to Annie and they later moved to Pyehill.
The 1901 census shows his father as Thomas aged 39 and his mother was Harriet aged 39.
He had a sister Eileen aged 11 a brother Joseph aged 5, another sister Gladys
aged 3 and himself aged just one.
His brother Joseph was killed in action and is listed on the war memorial among
the fallen.
It is possible he may have been related to Frederick Barker (served) but we
have nothing to substantiate this.
