George Spencer He is eight years old and has worked half a year. He comes at six to six with half an hour allowed for dinner. He goes to Riddings Methodist Sunday School and has been there for four years. He reads in the Testament and can spell pretty well. He drives the gin horse. John Nitingale He does not know how old he is and has worked half a year where he picks over the stones and hammers of the dirt. He works from six to six with half an hour allowed for dinner. He goes to the Ranters Sunday School at Summercotes. He reads the Testament. He is very ignorant and can spell neither cow or coal. |
