Aerial View of the James Oakes & Co Pipe yard. This site is today known as the old opencast site 'Smotherfly' situated on Selston Lane, Jacksdale and in recent years has been planted with trees. The houses in the background to the far right are the cottages at 'Jubilee'. The houses in the middle distance are Pye Bridge.

During demolition in the late 1950s - the last old chimney comes crashing to the ground.
Wagstaff Lane can be seen  in the background on the crest of the hill.
