Richard Dudley Weller gained his B.A. in 1909. He became a Deacon in 1910 and a priest in 1912. He was Curate in Charge of West Bridgford from 1910 to 1913 and then of Heanor, Derbyshire, from 1913 to 1916. He became Reverend of St. Helen’s Church, Selston, Notts, in 1916 when the Reverend Charles Harrison died. He remained there until 1924.

From 1924 to 1931 he was Rector of Ruddington, Notts, becoming the Rural Dean of West Bingham from 1926 to 1931.

From 1931 to 1952 he was Rector of Finchampstead (Hampshire/Dorset?) from where he retired to Bournemouth.

Reverend Weller also seems to have been a Nottingham born man and of a similar age to Rev. Jagg of St Mary's Church, Westwood.   They certainly knew each other very well, being at the same College and then being at the same Parish.
